back in august as we were driving our van and trailer slowly back through the states from the west coast, we were lucky enough to be invited to play the last of a string of shows put together by daytrotter’s sean moeller in maquoketa iowa….a show that took place…IN A BARN. we wound through the cornfields and turned down highways that took us further and  further from the world we knew til i honestly thought we were probably lost….until we came upon a dirt road with the infamous (and perhaps being that it is a pony…MY favorite) daytrotter logo and an arrow assuring us we were STILL headed in the right direction. a few seconds later we came upon a simple yet serene and majestically set barn house bustling with bands and stage hands and day trotters and all who came from near and far to be a part of sean moeller’s day dream turned brain child, the Barnstormer #5 series. Thanks to Peter Lockhart for such GORGEOUS video, to Codfish Hollow for letting us storm you, to maquoketa IO for being such lovely people and cheering and beering us….and SEAN. thank you sean.
